“WHAT MAKES…ADDICTIVE?“ is meant as a bridging of creative exchange between the metropolises Berlin and Shanghai and in the broader sense also between Germany and China.

The central idea of the exhibition and community project “WHAT MAKES…ADDICTIVE?” is the alternating presentation and inspiration between the metropolises Berlin and Shanghai in the fields of Graphic Design, Media Design, Illustration and Street Art. Thefirst part of the exhibition project, investigating the question: „ What makes Berlin addictive“,was on display in Shanghai in September 2006.

Goal of the project is for one in China to introduce the creative scene als an essential characteristic of Berlin, and in Berlin to present a first survey of the creative scene in Shanghai and China. Through workshops during the exhibition, an internet community and follow-up projects, a platform is being established enabling the participants to develop shared ideas for a stronger networking between the design scenes of both cities.
