Vanguard Gallery

Ella Wang Olsson is a multidisciplinary artist who forges a contemporary language from ancient Taoist philosophy and digital subculture. Their work is an experiment in freedom, combining video, performance, painting, and sound to create cyber-shamanistic rituals. These rituals bridge Taoist thought, rave culture, and digital melancholy. Drawing on a hyphenated Swedish-Chinese identity, they map a personal cosmology where ancestral tradition meets the club’s chaotic celebration. In this space, escapism and belonging collide to create pockets of awareness, beauty, and collective release.
