WANG Xiaofu

Wang Xiaofu was born in Wuhan and works and lives in Shanghai. She studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the LeRoy Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art.Through painting, she describes and observes the existence of things, individual cognition, and the boundaries between existence and cognition, and explores the overlap, folding, dissolution and concealment among them. She was awarded the 2018-2019 fellowship at Shandakenpaint school, a full-prize art institution based in New York, and was nominated as a candidate for the 2018 Rema Hort Man Emerging Artist Award in the New York area.
